The O & G Quarry in Southbury, Connecticut is known for prehnite specimens referred to locally as \"hearts.\" These oddly shaped prehnites form as near floaters in the middle of just-big-enough holes in the basalt. The holes are caused by air bubbles trapped in the lava as the basalt cooled.

This is one of the nicest so-called hearts I have seen.
It is very three dimensional, in great shape, and quite large 7 x 10 x 10 cm. Aside from small contact areas it is in excellent shape and is also studded with small apophyllite crystals. I very special zeolite specimen from COnnecticut.
