This is a very fine example of an etched beryl on matrix. It is really a goshenite beryl with a light blue aquamarine core. It has very well developed pyramidal faces around the termination. Inside there is a spray of black crystals which are usually identified as tantalites but may be tourmaline or something else. It has light etching on every face which gives it a lot of interest and high luster. The back and bottom are saw cut, so it sits nicely as show. There is no damage. Nice association with muscovite and clevelandite on top of block albite crystals. A super cabinet piece that at a great price...11.5 x 12 x 8 cm. The beryl is 5.8 cm tall (2 and a third inches).
