I really like this hand specimen of acanthite on quartz. It has a very flower-like appearance to me. I think it was originally covered in calcite, now dissolved away. I like the contrast between the gray acanthites and the white quartz matrix. A few bright pyrites add even more interest. A hand specimen without damage measuring 6 x 4.6 x 2.7 cm.
