Dysanalyte (Niobium rich Perovskite)
Magnet Cove, Arkansas

*** ACTUALLY MAGNETITE ***
If you\'ve been following the development of solar power, perovskite is in the news almost every day right now. Apparently perovskite increases efficiency by allowing a solar cell to absorb more different wavelengths of light. Dysanalyte is a niobium rich variety of Perovskite. On mindat.org, I see only two locations for perovskite: one in Germany and this location in Arkansas. A one cm crystal is considered large. This group of crystals measures 0.7 x 0.7 x 0.8 cm. I have one label from the Chas. W. Velte Jr. collection for several dysanalyte crystals. I can send you a copy of the label, if you want. The collector has a write up in the Mineralogical Record\'s label archive. See the picture of the label below.
