Serandite and Aegrine
Mt. Sainte Hilaire, Quebec, Canada

This is a really wonderful specimen of serandite decorated with black rods of aegirine. It looks double terminated (but I got it mounted this way and have not removed it to see more of the bottom) and measures 2.7 x 1.1 x 0.8 cm. The luster is wonderful, almost wet looking, especially the sides of the crystal. The serandite is undamaged but some of the aegirines are not terminated and there is a contact from a missing natrolite (?) crystal. The only place serandite crystals like this have ever been found is Mt. Sainte Hilaire. These are harder to obtain every year.
