If I could go back in time and redo some of my field collecting, one thing I would definitely do is spend more times at Eden Mills. I got a few nice specimens there (I have about 20 good thumbnails and one hand specimen), but there was so much more to be found! This piece I bought from a friend of mine who found it himself. The matrix is olive green diopside, cut at the bottom and one side. One corner is very vuggy, and well covered with a druse of one to two millimeter cinnamon colored garnets. At the top is a single larger garnet, about 5 mm across. This is not the classic blood red garnet from Eden Mills, but it is a wonderful piece, and a hand-size specimen at that (most are thumbnails or miniatures). It measures 6.4 x 5.4 x 6.3 cm.
