I lvoe the haphazard arrangement of the different sized crystals on this specimen of Illinois fluorite. I also love the color zoning from purple to ink you can see in a few of the smaller edge crystals: with backlighting, it is even more dramatic. The small calcite crystals populating nooks and crannies between the fluorites provides excellent relief. There is one ding to the bottom corner of the largest fluorite: otherwise this piece is nearly imamculate. In fact the bottom is covered with calcites and small brown sphalerites, so the whole thing is practically a floater. A perfect hand sized specimen at 9.7 x 7 x 3.2 cm.
