There are probably close to 20 small mimetites on this specimen from Tsumeb. They are incredibly well formed, transparent yellow, with wonderful drill bit terminations (see the closeup photo below). There is a color change from yellow to colorless about three quarters of the way up each crystal. The largest mimetite is about 7 mm tall. A white to transparent cerussite sits at the back of the mimetite lined vug, at the top of the matrix. A wonderful and rare specimen from Tsumeb, measuring 4.5 x 5.5 x 2.5 cm.
