This is a wonderful gold <u>crystal</u> --- not nugget --- from Venezuela. Specimens from this placer deposit are almost one hundred percent pure gold. They are typically found in kaolin clay and many have small sand grains of white quartz stuck in them. <BR><BR>
The top of this specimen is an elongated tetrahexahedral crystal. It weighs 1.29 grams and is 1.3 cm tall.
