This specimen from the William Wise Mine in New Hampshire is unusual in that the prominent fluorite crystal is so sharp: most crystals from this locality are highly etched. Sharp octahedrons are quite rare from here. The fluorite is surrounded by smaller crystals all of which rest on a plate of quartz. The bottom of the piece has been cut off. A perfect hand specimen measure 9 x 5 x 6 cm. Sits well as shown. There is a contact (from another fluorite) on the bottom half of the back of the main fluorite, but no damage. The other crystals around the main one are incomplete, as found.
