This is quite a nice specimen of calcite from Spain. It is from Ramon Ramos' collection. Ramon Ramos was a Connecticut mineral collector who visited Spain several times in search of minerals for his collection. There is no mine name associated with this piece, and mindat lists 63 mines around Malaga, Andalusia, Spain. Still, there are surprisingly few calcite specimens from this area on mindat.org, and the ones from La Arana Quarry (the spider quarry) seem to be a match. This piece measures 9 x 7.7 x 5 cm and is perfect. Fluoresces white.
