This fan of sphalerite crystals from the Walworth Quarry in New York has great luster, no damage, and sits on a small bed of dolomitic limestone. I have collected at the quarry several times. Sphalerites of this size are to be found, but rarely. And usually they are damaged. This piece has no damage, some nice orange color, and wonderful luster, especially on the back of the crystals. It is also a wonderful thumbnail specimen as it fills the box without feeling stuffed inside. 2.4 x 2.2 x 1.7 cm.
