It is very hard to get wire specimens of native silver from Mexico. For the amount of silver sulfides available, you might expect to see more wires. Actually, I have gotten very few in 50 trips to Mexico over the past 25+ years. This piece is from Guanajuato, my favorite town in Mexico. The specimen measures 4.5 x 2.5 x 3.5 cm. The looping wire stands about 1.5 cm above the matrix of druzy quartz crystals. No damage. No wire specimens have come from Guanajuato in many years now.
