I was lucky enough to be in Peru when these fabulous barite specimens came out. I bought about twenty of them, most translucent yellow and a few, like this one, transparent gray. This is surely the best piece I got. It is undamaged and a full hand specimen, measuring 9 x 6.5 x 6 cm. The little mound of matrix is dolomite. The one crystal in back reminds me of a gray wulfenite \"window pane.\" Exquisite.
