This excellent pyrite specimen from prolific Peru features octahedra reaching 2.5 cm on the edge, modified by tiny cube faces on the tips. The lustrous faces show interesting natural defects, and some are partly coated with tiny sphalerite crystals. In excellent condition, even half of the bottom is still crystallized.
